Linux Developer/Integration Engineer

Overview

GBSI is seeking an Information Technology (IT) professional for the role of Linux Developer/Integration Engineer in Landover, MD to provide engineering and integration for data center services.

Responsibilities

• Performs Systems Integration Engineering and Implementation services across the enterprise for hardware, software, and applications;

• Coordinates all design and integration activities for IT services to ensure consistency and business focus;

• Analyzes the effectiveness and proper functioning of secure and resilient IT infrastructures, environments, applications and data/information resources and capability and make recommendations for improvement.

Qualifications

• LEVEL III: Bachelor's degree in a related field, with five (5) to eight (8) years' experience is required; OR Masters degree in a related field with three (3) to five (5) years' experience years of experience; OR PhD with zero (0) to two (2) years' experience;

• Must have a current DoD 8570.1-M IAT Level II certification (i.e., Security+ CE) at start;

• Must possess an active TS/SCI clearance with SCI eligibility at start;

• Proven experience with VMWare technology suite and Linux is required;

• Experience in Infrastructure/Data Center engineering and integration for both physical and virtual infrastructure hosting Linux systems is required;

• Professional-level Linux certification (CompTIA Linux+) is required;

• ITIL v4 Foundations certification is desired.
