The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.

This position is for a Linux System Administrator to support high availability production systems in a Federal security compliant data center. You will assist in technical engineering programs to implement and maintain operations support tools.

You will work closely with network, application, and middleware teams to support Linux based product installations, customizations, and deployments. You will be responsible for all aspects of Linux support including software updates and upgrades, backup and recovery, performance management and capacity planning for the Linux environment. Work will be performed out of the Boulder, Colorado or RTP, NC IBM location.

While there is minimal/no travel with this position, you are unable to deny travel should it come up. A willingness to travel 100%, even though that's not the case, is required.
