KeyResponsibilities / Duties:

  • Determine requirements, developspecifications, architect a solution and implement it.

  • Manage the entire lifecycle of Unix/Linuxservers using tools such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible.

  • Managing the deployment, automation andmaintenance of AWS cloud Services (e.g. EC2, RDS, ELB, EBD, S3, VPC, Glacier,IAM, CloudWatch, KMS)

  • Participate in project teams torepresent the UNIX SMEs and provide input on project architectures

  • Experience developing shell scripts andother languages such as BASH, Java, Perl, Python or Ruby as needed for theautomation of UNIX system tasks

  • Coordinate with application developersand platform owners to provide LINUX environments needed to support thedevelopment and deployment of applications, databases and backup strategies.

  • Secure servers to meet federal regulatedrequirement for audits in Financial, Investments and Banking industries.

  • Act as a technical touch point formembers of the team, offering guidance, coaching and support.

  • Ensure project status reports tostakeholders are submitted by ensuring regular and accurate blogging andupdates of projects and activities.

  • Ensure project deliverables are clearlydefined, planned, prioritized & kept on track and within scope.

  • Make sure that each stage of adeliverable is progressing on time and to the relevant quality/standards.

  • Work closely with relevant stakeholdersto ensure effective and efficient implementation of the project(s).

  • Ensure project documents are completed,current, appropriately stored and handed over to the Operations team within therelevant timescales

  • Ensure operational standards are adheredto. This includes actively looking to continuously improve workingpractices to ensure the team work's as efficiently as possible.

  • Follow team procedures, identify gapsand resolve effectively. Including the Business/Disaster Recovery program

VIEW JOBS 2/20/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-05-20T00:00 Job Description Responsible for the accurate and efficient technical support, installation, and implementation of corporate technology to support new markets as Hargray continues to grow. Coordinates new market office requirements and works through our IT Administration group to order, configure and install all necessary corporate IT equipment including workstations, printers/copiers, corporate network, corporate wireless, video conferencing and collaboration and other approved technologies. Works with the strategic initiatives team to identify and source additional software licenses for the new market location to ensure colleagues have the tools necessary to work efficiently and effectively. Duties and Responsibilities: * System administration of OSS/BSS solutions. * Setting up of application development, testing and production environments for OSS/BSS applications. * Manage Application implementations of various Production Installations, upgrade application startup/checklist tasks, log files, queues, and transactions for exceptions and react (fix/escalate/inform). * Develop and maintain automation scripts for solution patching. * Third party software administration (e.g., MySQL, Weblogic, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, Java). * Participating in Environment architecture and capacity planning (e.g., server configuration, file system plan, network configuration, etc.) * Maintenance window planning and coordination with all stake holders. * Day-to-day environment monitoring and administration for overall health of operation environment, including Server Health Checks, Network connectivity with Interfaces, Application performance monitoring etc. * Interface with different workgroups including Tier2, Technical support groups, and development, System Administrators to troubleshoot and resolve application issues. * Functional expertise in Troubleshooting and bug fixing. * Troubleshooting build, deployment, performance and configuration issues. * Provide on-call support during non-business hours. * Implementing corporate security objectives on systems * Attend planned maintenance activities during non-business hours. * Communicates independently, effectively, clearly and professionally with managers, supervisors, and employees to establish and maintain considerate and cooperative relationships Job Requirements Minimum Qualifications: * Experience in administration of Java based middleware servers. Such as Weblogic, Jboss, Tomcat, WebSphere servers * Strong knowledge on Java VM. Configuration, performance issue analyses, monitoring. * Strong knowledge of Unix architecture, configuration and tools * Strong knowledge of Red Hat system administration practices * Experience in MySQL database administration * Experience with Unix shell/Perl/Python scripting * Experience in working in large production systems deployments * Experience in SSL/PKI concepts * Basic knowledge on PL/SQL and DB concepts * Familiarity with change management process * Knowledge on Basic networking and Storage * Bachelors degree in computer science or other related background. * 7-10 years experience with Linux system administration in a virtualized * Must be able to demonstrate creativity and out-of-box thinking in analyzing and delivering solutions. * Previous experience in automating large scale deployments of applications in a cloud is a plus * Experience in developing monitoring agents for Nagios and Graphite is a plus * Experience in Telecom Domain. * Good communication to handle/manage bridges and sending status update on MW. * Must be a self-starter able to work without close supervision and to think independently. * Excellent interpersonal communications skills including a proven ability to listen and understand customers, as well as ability to work in a team environment. * Good verbal communication skills.
