Glenbrooke, a Senior Living Community is seeking a Full Time Line/Prep Cook.
This position is responsible for assisting the Cook with preparation of nutritious, appealing and quality food for residents and guests, while maintaining high standards of clanliness and complying with all company and state food regulations.
Oversee breakfast, lunch and dinner for quality assurance of meal presentation and portion control
Prepares and coordinates all meals from standardized recipes
Performs a pre-meal meeting with food servers to review detail of daily menu
Keeps stock rooms, coolers and freezers clean and rotated
Ensures an adequate number of culinary employees each shift and ensures absences are covered as to not allow coverage gaps
Assists in menu and recipe development
Assists in the adherence to maintaining budget compliance for daily food costs
Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college/technical school
2-3 years of experience in a related role, in a similar setting
Obtain/hold any local, state and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates
