Description: Under direct supervision, inventories and stocks par level locations and linen supply carts; issues linen; transports linen to/from the linen room area; assist with shipping and receiving linen supplies; maintains inventory records of linen issued; performs physical count of linen room inventories.
Materials and Supplies:
Inspect shelves for proper stock rotation and par levels.
Maintain inventory of linen and garment counts.
Replenish supplies including towels.
Weigh in clean linen.
Load and unload delivery vehicles.
Transport linen supply carts.
Stock and clean par level locations and linen supply carts.
Administrative and other:
Serve as resource person to co-workers by answering procedure questions and assisting in problem solving.
Answer telephone and take messages.
Assume other activities and responsibilities from time to time as directed.
Pay Grade: 03
High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) equivalent preferred.
License, Certification, Registration
Current California driver's license.
Experience and knowledge of medical center linen and/or supply support procedures.
Knowledge of regulatory (TITLE 22) linen requirements and infection control methods and procedures.
Ability to work in a high paced, multi-functional work environment.
Math aptitude and demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
Able to lift 60 lbs and move in excess of 300 lbs with material handling equipment.
This is an on-call position; days and hours may vary.
