The Line Loader is responsible for loading flats of eggs in the machine, using the touch screen to operate the machine and keeping their area clean and neat.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Loads flats of eggs in the Loader.
Uses touch screen to operate machine.
Visually inspects eggs for quality issues.
Keeps area around machines being loaded clean and neat.
Stacks and wraps plastic flats neatly in proper amounts and heights.
Removes any egg that is stuck to the plastic flats.
Removes empty flats from the flat stacker.
Dumps inedible buckets from machines being loaded after the end of shift clean up.
Interacts with department personnel, communicates issues to Operators.
Sprays down and cleans equipment and floor to meet USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) specifications.
Follows PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) requirements and safety procedures.
Follows GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) "washing hands, etc." throughout the day.
Follows HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) guidelines.
Adheres to safe work practices, follows GMP's, maintains sanitary conditions and ensures that product quality is maintained. Reports to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
Experience with pallet jack preferred.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:
Ability to communicate effectively with department personnel.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral form.
Specific skills and abilities required that are not included in other sections.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a company forklift license.
Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to repeatedly lift and carry 50 lbs safely.
Ability to work in damp, humid atmosphere.
Ability to stand on hard surface most of shift, stoop or squat, bend and reach.
Ability to climb and move above, below and in to tight spaces.
Ability to work week-ends and holidays on a rotating schedule.
