Pay: 30.75/hour

Non-union plant employing 280 employees across 3 shifts
Purchased in 1934 from Breyer's Ice Cream and began producing caramel in 1935
Began producing Marshmallows and Marshmallow Crème in 1961 and Marbits (think dehydrated marshmallows found in cereal) in 1979
Kendallville is the sole producer of all our product lines

Responsibilities & Duties:
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment as needed associated with the building, production, and utilities.
Coordinate with production to address any corrective maintenance required on assigned equipment to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality.
Perform preventative maintenance inspections on all production, building, and utilities equipment as assigned.
Participate in the development of documented preventive maintenance plan.
Recommend and implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design.
Analyze equipment failures and recommend/implement corrective actions.
Communicate with maintenance personnel on other shifts, as necessary, to ensure coordination of maintenance efforts on assigned equipment.
Work cross functionally as a member of the operations team.
Perform all other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Team Leader.
Qualifications:
Maintenance training/degree and experience in manufacturing maintenance.
Self-motivated and strong drive for results.
Use simple mathematics
Lift 50 pounds.
Able to climb a ladder.
Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles.
Able to work in hot and humid conditions.
High School diploma or GED
Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc. preferred
