Job Title: Line Operator (3rd Shift)

Location: Clinton, TN

Shift: Monday-Friday, 11:00pm-7:15am, 3rd Shift (8hours)-- WE ARE ALSO HIRING FOR 2ND SHIFT!!

Starting Pay: $ 17.50hr with a $2.00 shift differential for the night shift

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Line Operator to join our dynamic team. Position Overview:

As an Experienced Line Operator at Dura-Line, you will play a critical role in setting up and operating HDPE extrusion lines, ensuring that all products meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy. In addition to operating the line, you will serve as a backup to the Shift Supervisor when needed, showcasing your leadership capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate equipment to ensure the proper handling and packaging of conduit pipes.

• Collaborate with team members to facilitate the accurate winding of conduit pipes onto reels for shipment.

• Assist in line start-ups, reel changes, and ensure the correct reel is prepared for start-up.

• Monitor and adjust machinery to maintain continuous stripe, print, and footage markings.

• Review product and equipment throughout the shift to confirm material and quality requirements are met.

• Ensure all products are produced free from cosmetic and physical defects and within manufacturing tolerances.

• Cut conduit, tie off, and cap conduit at the completion of each reel.

• Working knowledge of extruders, printers, reelers, vacuum systems, chiller systems, resin systems, pullers, quality control standards, and product specifications.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols.

• Set up and operate HDPE extrusion lines, adjusting and documenting operating conditions to meet customer specifications.

Requirements:

• 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment or related industry

• Strong attendance record, team player, and commitment to reliability.

• Safety-focused with the ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.

• Capable of standing on feet throughout 8-hour shifts around hot machinery.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and basic math and measurement skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and understanding of quality requirements.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

• Comfortable with stationary positions and able to endure the pressures of extrusion equipment.

• Willingness to wear necessary safety equipment.

Working Environment and Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work 8 hours per day, Mon-Fri per week.

• Work primarily indoors on the plant floor, with exposure to heat, dust, and noise. Some outdoor work may be required in any weather condition.

• Ability to remain in a stationary position 80-100% of the time; ability to squat, bend, or stoop as needed.

• Proficiency in operating hand and pneumatic powered strapping tools, chains, slings, hooks, and keyboard on microprocessor equipment.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance and push/pull pipe stalks and coils.

• Ability to get into and out of lift trucks and other mobile equipment, staying alert to mobile machinery.

• Capacity to cope with the pressures of continuously running extrusion equipment in a 24-hour period.

• Willingness to wear necessary safety equipment, including dust masks, earplugs, and face shields.

• Ability to climb ladders, listen to equipment, inspect product for defects, and sense temperature changes in the finished product.

• Ability to work in a continuous operation work environment

Training:

• Comprehensive training will be provided to equip you with the skills and knowledge needed for success in your role as a Line Operator.
