Silgan Containers, the largest manufacturer of metal food containers in the United States, has an immediate full time Line Mechanic opening at our Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Mechanic is responsible for monitoring, servicing, maintaining, overhaul, and adjustment of the equipment of a high speed metal sheet coating manufacturing plant.

  • Job preparation for Operators

  • Relief of operators.

  • Required paperwork, documentation and various clean up tasks.

  • Additional tasks as assigned

Requirements:

  • Mechanical aptitude and comprehension with experience

  • Drill, Tap, Ream knowledge with experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • The successful candidate must be able to work nights and weekends. (additional $0.99 / hour)

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Typically employees work 12 hours per day, either 3 or 4 days per week, depending on the work schedule. Employees may be required to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds occasionally.

This position will reside in the divisional headquarters building, which houses engineering for multiple product lines as well as marketing, sales, finance, and R&D. The facility was built in 2012 and boasts an open office layout surrounded by large windows, as well as 50,000+ square feet of onsite state-of-the-art laboratory space, an onsite fitness center, basketball court, Ping-Pong, employee lounge, and grill & patio. With eight Eaton facilities and more than 1600 employees located in Southeastern Wisconsin, Eaton's local footprint enables our employees with state of the art laboratories and access to manufacturing, all while providing ample opportunities for development and career growth within region. The Global Product Line Manager will be responsible for a cross-functional team with primary responsibility for all Marketing, Customer Support, Aftermarket, Flex Center and ETO Engineering functions for the Variable Frequency Drives product line. This includes global strategy development, business planning, product roadmapping, training, new product introductions, product lifecycle management, profit planning, price realization, margin, sales execution, and monthly financial reporting. Essential Functions: * Ownership of P&L for the product line to meet all financial commitments, exceeding sales, market share, price realization, profit, and cost out goals. * Ability to build relationships with all levels of an organization, both internal and external, including executives as well as key customer and supplier contacts * Ownership of performance management, goal setting, development planning and coaching for all team members * Partner with marketing communications team to develop and coordinate marketing communications materials for all sales channels and customers, related to product value proposition messaging, new product launches, channel promotions, product news * Be knowledgeable about technical benefits of product offering, competitor capabilities and practices, and market conditions to support development of customer use cases primarily in the pumping, HVAC, industrial, and OEM markets. * Support execution of Place, Product, Promotion, Price, and People commercial programs * Focus on process improvement around monthly reporting, developing a system of leading indicators, and incorporating new technology into existing processes * Conduct voice of the customer activities (customer visits, industry association participation, general market research) that fuel a robust new product and services funnel. * Responsible for Global Product Line strategic planning, product roadmapping, product water-lining, and GPL senior management review activities * Define and implement product marketing and sales planning strategies that include opportunities for organic growth as well as identifying and nurturing third party partnerships/joint ventures.
