JOB SUMMARY:

The Line Maintenance Technician conducts line upgrades, troubleshoots, handles repairs and preventative maintenance service. The Line Maintenance Technician will also maintain scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment, pumps, motors, pneumatic systems, hydraulic systems, and conveyor systems and is responsible for general warehouse building maintenance and repair.

Shift: Monday

  • Friday, 5:15am to 1:45pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech "Team Ground Rules" and Mission Statement

  • Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Performs Preventative Maintenance (PM) following a precise PM program

  • Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic

  • Ability to troubleshooting and repair of bottle filling, packaging, and production machines

  • Reads and interprets equipment manuals, schematic's and work orders to perform required maintenance and service on production lines and warehouse equipment

  • Enters information into computer database to produce information related to PM program. Produces reports for line down trends and action related plans

  • Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules and regulations to include Lock-Out Tag-Out (LOTO) compliance when performing maintenance and repairs. Participate in Safety Committee

  • Works with Shop Floor Control process, Root Cause Analysis to eliminate downtime and waste reduction

  • Participate in lean production methods for reducing waste in a manufacturing process and change-overs

  • Assist with developing and implement operating procedures designed to eliminate production problems / waste, reduce change-over time and improve product quality

  • Perform other duties as required or assigned

  • Minimal travel required for this position

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent. Technical School Education related to maintenance is highly desirable

Experience and/or Training:

  • Experience and/or Training:

  • Minimum of 2+ years manufacturing related maintenance and repair experience on manufacturing packing machines and general warehouse equipment troubleshooting and repair

  • Strong communication skills and ability to present and train in front of groups

  • Exposure to high-speed equipment and machines is desirable

  • Experience with pneumatic and hydraulics air systems

  • Experience with AC and DC electrical current and PLC Controllers

  • Ability to use welding equipment

  • Organizational skills

  • Ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS)

Technology/Equipment:

  • Basic Microsoft Office proficiency using Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, and Word

  • Inventory Management System (JDE)

  • Understand laptops and projectors for training purpose

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:

Employee must have the ability to lift/carry up to 60 pounds occasionally and push/pull 76-100 pounds occasionally. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and/or use hands, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, and/or walk. Employees may be subject to random drug and alcohol testing under FAA regulations. The mental and physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:

Work in extreme heat (>80 degrees) during summer in the Warehouse and Production area. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - safety eye glasses and safety steel-toe shoes are required. Work hazards

  • Safety concerns to include heavy products, light and heavy-duty machinery, forklifts, working in a congested and high activity warehouse. The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an individual encounters while performing the essential functions of this position.

SUMMARY: The Kit Production Worker will perform repetitive work station or line production operations to mass produce products onto a pallet by performing the following duties: assemble product, label, pack, and stack. They will receive materials in production workplace and verify components with the use of visual aids, Finished Part Documents and Placemats. The Kit Production Worker will watch for quality defects and report promptly any materials thought to be defective to management. The Kit Production Worker will attend informational, training, safety, and compliance meetings as scheduled. Shift: Monday - Friday, 6:00am - 2:30om Responsibilities: * Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech "Team Ground Rules" and Mission Statement. * .Follow written instructions on work order, finished part document, visual aids and placemats for various products. * Safe use and daily inspection of material handling equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks (hand and electric) * Inspect raw material needed for producing product, set-up production line, and produce sample for quality inspection. * Upon inspection approval, produce product, label, pack, and load grouped orders onto pallets. * Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor. * Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations. * Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required. * Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision. * Utilize all material handling equipment safely, efficiently, perform all required safety checks and communicate need for repair * Accept schedule and direction when there are changes in workloads. * Perform other duties as required. * Attend monthly departmental and production meetings. Qualifications: Education High school diploma or equivalent Experience and/or Training One year of related production line or assembly preferred Physical & Mental Demands: * Frequent movement of material up to 60 lbs which may require lifting bending and turning * Repetitive movement of materials for assembly up to 10 lbs * Occasional use of computers for label printing, quality reporting and inventory purposes * Standing for a period up to three hours * Visual perception required to operate forklifts and machinery * Ability to hear to operate machinery and communicate with Production Line Operator Working Environment: Work is performed in a warehouse environment.
