The Line Maintenance Mechanic

Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain brewing equipment.
Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems during production and scheduled maintenance days.
Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities when necessary.
Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines, hydraulic systems, and electrical equipment.
Evaluate problems and generate options to find actionable practical solutions.
Support brewing operations by coaching/mentoring, developing SOP's, establishing quick-fix routines for the breakdown process and carrying out work activities as planned during maintenance day windows.
Provide technical support to the manufacturing techs, plant engineering and contractors for baseline and capital projects.
Evaluate the effectiveness of preventive maintenance routines, making revisions and improvements to increase effectiveness
Understands the principles of product quality and balanced line flow and is proactive in verifying that repair work and modification support achieve these goals.
Must read and work from blueprints when necessary.
Ability to use basic laboratory instrumentation.
Ability to become proficient in Delta V Batch, Continuous Control, and Proleit Brewmaxx.
Ability to use Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor and correct processes.
Partners with Process Leader and Training Specialist to implement training plans.
Onboards new team members according to the standard onboarding process.
Responsible for communicating and coordinating activities with operations, quality, asset care, and other specialists as required.
Responsible for and dedicated to personal and team safety in relation to completion of tasks and duties.
Responsible for and dedicated to quality in relation to completion of tasks and duties.
Responsible for assisting in the implementation and workings of WCSC 2.0 while performing work.
Partners with teams and safety council members to identify and highlight unsafe work practices and escalate/correct with a sense of urgency.
Performs housekeeping as required to maintain a safe and clean work place.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Education and experience
High school education or equivalent required
Associates Degree in Computer Science, Manufacturing Automation Technology, or Equivalent Technical Degree/Certification
Manufacturing experience in controls automation
Experience in Brewing environment
Skills and knowledge
High level of mechanical aptitude/ability
Prior knowledge of manufacturing equipment
Manufacturing Networks (Ethernet, DeviceNet, ControlNet, FieldBus) -troubleshooting, and support.
Process Control/ Instrument Configuration and support including systems Intgration using OPC Interfaces
Wireless and Wireless Devices - configuration and support
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Safe Quality Food Procedures, and Safety
Knowledge of Rockwell and/or Emerson Automation platforms preferred
Microsoft Development Tools
3+ years of electrical and industrial maintenance experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment and make decisions in a team based setting.
Ability to work full-time, all shifts, all schedules, and all days of the week to include weekends and holidays.
Ability to be called in for emergency coverage and work overtime as necessary.
