Welcome Diner Phoenix - We are looking for professional line cooks to prepare food to the exact chefs specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line cook duties will consist of assisting the Head and sous chef(s) with their daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals. Basic responsibilities include setting up station in a timely manner and be ready for guest service.
This position is a full time position (40 hours a week), full AM / PM availability is preferred.
You may be required to lift up to 50 Lbs.
You must comply with local Health Department regulations to include certifications.
Line cooks are required to stand on their feet 8 hours a day.
We are looking for experienced, positive and outgoing line cooks to bring value to our Diner, we have an exhibition kitchen, positive attitude is a must.
You must have knife and cooking skills, a minimum of 1 year cooking experience is desired.
Appropriate kitchen shoes are required (non slip, closed toes).
You must possess good communication skills.
Be able to project your voice in a loud environment.
You must be able to communicate effectively with cooks, expeditor and food runners.
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook and or prep cook.
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks.
Familiar with industrys best practices.
