THE JOB

  • Completing all tasks assigned by the Executive Chef.
  • Producing consistent, high-quality food in a timely manner
  • Using commercial kitchen equipment to prep food items
  • Ensure that each station is stocked with the necessary equipment
  • Working quickly and efficiently to maximize production
  • Checking food quality at all points of preparation, transportation and delivery on-site
  • Cleaning and sanitizing the kitchen space as required
  • Ensure sanitary regulations are followed at all times
  • This is a seasonal role from April 2024 through early November 2024

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have NYC Food Protection Certificate.
  • Cooking experience required, including experience as a line chef, restaurant cook, or prep cook
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices
  • Must possess the ability to handle multiple tasks at a time
  • Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be able to work on your feet as well as stationary for at least 12 hours during events.
  • Must be willing to work long shifts, including overnight shifts.
  • Must be able to move, pull, carry of lift at least 50 pounds

COMPENSATION

  • Hourly range for this role is $20-25.
