Job Description:

High West is currently seeking to add a professional line cook to our growing team at our location in Wanship, UT. Strong candidates must be ready to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment, while retaining high standards of organization, cleanliness and efficiency in order to meet the standards of the restaurant, and ensure customer satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in food prep/execution.

  • Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures.

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.

  • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and lift, up to 40 pounds on a regular basis.

  • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time.

  • Exceptional hygiene and grooming habits.

  • Acquire and maintain a Utah food handlers permit within 14 days of on-boarding.

  • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.

  • Ability to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.

Essential Functions:

  • Set up stations and collect all necessary supplies to prepare menu for service.

  • Prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using designated kitchen equipment, in accordance with the restaurant's standard practices.

  • Prepare and arrange all necessary sauces and garnishes for allocated station.

  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the staff, maintaining simultaneous and timely execution of menu items.

  • Follow proper plate presentation and garnish for all dishes.

  • Assume 100% responsibility for quality of products served.

  • Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times.

  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards including handling, storing and rotating all products properly.

  • Close the kitchen correctly and follow the closing checklist for any and all stations worked.

  • Answer, report to, and follow executive and sous chef's instructions.

  • Assist with food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed.

  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned by kitchen manager and/or manager on duty.

  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty.

High West bartenders need to be professional, have high-energy, have excellent communication skills and be very fluent with classic cocktails. High West bartenders will greet customers, interact regarding their preferences, answer questions, recommend menu items, and prepare and serve beverages and food. In addition to your bar patrons you will be required to prepare drink orders for the dining room and be required to serve tables within the bar area. Our seasonal bartenders are required to work a minimum of four shifts per week with additional shifts added when business demands increase. To succeed as a Bartender at High West you should have a neat appearance and an engaging friendly personality. You should be efficient, observant, knowledgeable, and personable. Responsibilities: * Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons * Interact with customers, take orders of food and drinks * Assess customers' needs and preferences and make recommendations * Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails to High West's specifications * Plan and present bar menu * Check customers' identification and confirm it meets Utah's drinking requirements * Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies before and after each shift * Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience * Comply with all food and beverage regulations for the State of Utah Qualifications: Minimum * 2+ Years mixing for a hand crafted cocktail program * Completed Spirit education class; BarSmarts * Food and Alcohol certifications required within 90 days of employment * Detail oriented, creative and quality focused * Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; yet able to work productively as part of a team. * Excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills. * Able to recite, prepare and differentiate between the basic classic cocktails * Excellent communication skills * Detail oriented and quality focused * Ability to follow instructions, work independently, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines * Must be able to lift 20lbs and work on your feet for up to eight hours a shift Location Park City, Utah Additional Locations Job Type Full time Job Area Hospitality & Retail Equal Opportunity Constellation Brands is committed to a continuing program of equal employment opportunity.
