The primary responsibility for this position is to teach and help deliver the professional Pharm.D. Program on the Athens campus. The Pharm.D. degree program comprises four years of professional instruction, didactic and small group classes, laboratory-based teaching, and an experiential education component. The third year of the program is delivered synchronously across four campuses. This position will be responsible for teaching, delivering, and coordinating team-taught courses.

Additional Requirements

• Must hold a Pharm.D., MD, or Ph.D. degree in the health sciences.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, and/or Certification Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

• Teaching experience, evidence of scholarship of teaching and learning, and Board certification in pharmacotherapy or subspecialties are preferred.

• Preference will be given to candidates with strong communication skills and the potential for excellence in teaching.

• Teach and coordinate courses or equivalent team-taught courses throughout the P1 to P4 curriculum.

• Teach didactic course topics (e.g., Self-Care & Nonprescription Drugs, Survey of Drug Information, Pharmacotherapy, Advanced Drug Information/Policy Management, Statistical Approached to Drug Literature Evaluation) and Skills/Laboratory-based classes (e.g., Essentials of Pharmacy Practice, Applied Pharmacy Practice, Interpreting Clinical Lab Tests).
