Location
Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Department Information
The Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design offers the Bachelor of Science in Interactive Design (IAD). Housed in the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the IAD program addresses the need for emerging competencies in user interface design and user experience design. Using an interdisciplinary, hands-on approach, the IAD degree develops the technical, theoretical, and creative skills needed to meet the demands of new, digitally-centered careers.
With more than 400 full-time faculty and 8,500 degree-seeking students, the Norman J. Radow College of Humanities and Social Sciences prepares the next generation of leaders in a wide array of fields to meet the challenges of the twenty-first century and become contributing citizens in a global society. The home of three Schools and eight Departments, the College offers more than 80 graduate and undergraduate programs of study in both traditional and interdisciplinary fields. Job Summary
Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for nine-month, full-time, non-tenure track Limited Term Instructor of Interactive Design or Limited Term Assistant Professor of Interactive Design faculty positions in the Department of Technical Communication and Interactive Design (TCID) with a preferred start date of August 2024. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.
Responsibilities
Teach classes such as Prototyping I, Prototyping II, User Interface Design I, User Interface Design II, Visual Design I, Visual Design II, Ethnography for Designers.
The teaching load is 5 (Fall) and 5 (Spring).
Faculty will teach courses in the face-to-face modality.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.
Required Qualifications
For Limited Term Instructor

For Limited Term Assistant Professor
OR
Preferred Qualifications
A portfolio or academic papers that reflect work related to some or all of the following classes: Prototyping I, Prototyping II, User Interface Design I, User Interface Design II, Visual Design I, Visual Design II, Ethnography for Designers.
Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate level.
Previous experience teaching face-to-face.
