Overview

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) typically services long term care and nursing facilities and is now hiring a Light Housekeeper in your area! HCSG has a custom, state of the art training program!

Position Summary

  • Performs housekeeping and cleaning activities within well established guidelines and assigned areas and shift(s) to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.

  • The light housekeeper is responsible for satisfactory and timely completion of assigned cleaning area according to schedule.

  • Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.

  • The light housekeeper performs a variety of tasks, such as dust mopping and damp mopping floors in all areas including entry ways, corridors, etc. Is responsible for the safe and proper mixing and use of cleaning solutions and adheres to all safety precautions.

  • Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms including sinks, tubs, floors and commodes.

  • Is responsible for the daily cleaning and sanitizing of patient room furniture, as well as sitting room and dining room furniture.

  • Removes and disposes of trash and relieves laundry staff as needed, and performs all other related duties as assigned.

  • Represents HCSG in a positive manner; is able to follow oral instructions, is pleasant, tactful and courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers and client staff

  • Interacts appropriately with residents, client, other personnel, supervisor and the public.

  • Responds to customer preferences, complies with industry and federal and state guidelines, and meets the needs of residents.

  • Must respond to the paging system in a timely and appropriate manner.

  • Follows infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures to ensure that a sanitary environment is maintained at all times. Follow proper reporting, isolation and handwashing procedures/techniques.

  • The light housekeeper consistently embodies the characteristics necessary to drive the Company's Purpose, Vision, Values, and DNA.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.

  • Must be able to speak, read and write English to communicate effectively with others.

  • Ability to cooperate with co-workers, residents, and facility staff.

  • Willingness to perform routine, repetitive tasks on a continuous basis.

  • After the training period is completed, must be able to accomplish all responsibilities without supervision and do so without injury to oneself or other individuals.

  • Must be able to fully understand and complete all in-services.

  • Must be able to be at work as schedule on time.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods of time.

  • Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.

  • Must live in service area. No relocation costs.

Learn more about this agency Responsibilities The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is looking for temporary employees to work on a variety of wildland firefighting crews. Work may include working as a crew member on any of the following types of crews: Engine; Prescribed; Fuels; or Wildland Fire Modules (WFM). For more information on Crew Types, click here. A Wildland Firefighter (GS-03 Forestry Aid) performs assignments as a wildland firefighter crew member in developing a working knowledge of fire suppression and fuels management techniques, practices, and terminology; may assist in more specialized assignments such as backfire and burnout, mobile and stationary engine attack; construction of helispots, helitack operations, and performing hover hookups. A Wildland Firefighter (GS-04 Forestry Technician) is a skilled wildland firefighter. May be required to operate light vehicles and 4X4s. Examples of specialized work experience include on-the-line wildland fire experience in forest/range fire control, prevention or suppression work as a trainee wildland firefighter. OR * 2 years of education above the high school level which included at least 12 semester hours in any combination of the following courses: forestry, agriculture, crop or plant science, range management or conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural resources (except marine biology and oceanography), outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering, or wildland fire science. No more than 3 semester hours of mathematics is creditable toward this requirement; OR * a combination of the education and experience described above. Selective Factor for GS-04: In addition to the basic qualifications listed above, you must have the following: 90 days of wildland fire experience. Wildland fire experience is defined as any non-structure fire that occurs in the wildland. Wildland firefighting experience is gained through work on the fire line in containment, control, suppression or use of wildland fire. This experience can be met by serving in a temporary, seasonal or equivalent private sector fire position. Periods of wildland firefighting experience gained through militia and rural fire departments can also be credited. To qualify for a GS-05, you must meet at least one of the following AND the Selective Factors: * 1 year of specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-04 level duties. Examples include on-the-line wildland fire experience in forest/range fire control, prevention or suppression work as a skilled wildland firefighter, utilizing a variety of specialized wildland fire tools and equipment. OR * successful completion of a 4 year course of study above high school leading to a bachelor's degree with either: 1. a major study in forestry, range management or agriculture; or a subject matter field directly related to the position; OR 2. at least 24 semester hours in any combination of the following courses: forestry, agriculture, crop or plant science, range management or conservation, wildlife management, watershed management, soil science, natural resources (except marine biology and oceanography), outdoor recreation management, civil or forest engineering, or wildland fire science. No more than 6 semester hours of mathematics is creditable. The level of the course work must have been equivalent to at least the junior- or senior-year levels of a baccalaureate program; OR * a combination of education and specialized work experience described above.
