Maitland Trane is hiring for our Light Commercial Unitary (LCU) sales team! We are looking for someone with technical knowledge of 3-25 ton HVAC equipment with the personality and DRIVE to sell within a territory on the West Coast of Central FL. This is a critical role on our LCU team!
Responsible for all functions relating to developing new Light Commercial Equipment Customer relationships and strengthening existing customer base to ensure maximum account penetration and customer retention. Targeted products include Light Commercial Unitary 3-25 tons, replacement/service parts and supplies, and small packaged heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment for use on commercial applications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Maintain existing accounts and develops new customer accounts by cold-calling various businesses/contractors in their territory.
Develop good working relationships within all levels of existing customers
Performs analysis on customer needs and uses.
Establishes systematic customer contact to provide on-going information.
Researches and provides competitive unitary equipment and parts/supplies sales data.
Maintains customer data files using CRM.
Responsible for facilitating parts & supplies purchasing processes and relationships with customers' management, buying agents, and technicians.
Attends sales meetings and reports sales activity, new account development, and upcoming itinerary.
Possesses knowledge of the Trane product line to be able to demonstrate and discuss with customers.
Works against a current and evolving action plan designed to identify and meet all of the customers' needs.
Facilitates introductions of key customer contacts to other Trane sales teams for specific opportunity development.
Develops and executes an account specific business plan to identify the long term, mutual support requirements required to facilitate a strong, profitable and successful partnership.
Demonstrated competency in consultative, relationship, listening, and selling skills
Technical knowledge of HVAC LCU Equipment (3-25 ton).
Highly self-motivated, goal oriented
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Demonstrated competence in computer usage.
Demonstrated proficiency in planning, organizing, and prioritizing
Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations including, but not limited to:
DUI in the previous 5 years
Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless / Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.
This position works in a variety of environments; from inside office to outdoors, mechanical/equipment rooms and industrial work environments. Frequent outdoor travel is required to visit customers. During visits to job sites, the employee is occasionally required to climb, and is exposed to moving mechanical parts, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
