LIFELONG LEARNING COORDINATOR

Coastal Carolina University is accepting applications for the following position: Lifelong Learning Coordinator.

The Lifelong Learning Coordinator will primarily support OLLI@Coastal. OLLI@Coastal is the lifelong learning program at Coastal Carolina University.

Housed at Coastal Carolina University, the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI@Coastal) promotes the health and well-being of adults connected to the Grand Strand by creating and improving access to opportunities for lifelong learning, cultural immersion, and community building. OLLI@Coastal specifically designs and facilitates access to programming for people 50+, including courses, excursions, and events. The Lifelong Learning Coordinator will support that work.

Duties include, but are not limited to: help plan and manage noncredit programs, such as: courses, excursions, events, and general programming; assist the office with the course management system; lead member recruitment efforts in both new and established areas; assist in identifying membership growth opportunities; conduct outreach to ensure that we are reaching our target audience and reaching a diverse population of the 50+ community; conduct outreach to community members to ensure that OLLI@CCU is offering programming that aligns with their needs; collaborate and correspond with key stakeholders; assist in providing customer service to existing and potential OLLI members including answering phone calls, responding to email, and offering in-person assistance on-site; assist in liaising with community partners to enhance membership benefits; assist with developing programming to better integrate OLLI@Coastal with the larger university; help create opportunities to increase intergenerational interaction among OLLI@Coastal members and traditional students; develop and implement orientation programs for OLLI@Coastal instructors and members; assist with volunteer recruitment and management; assist in fundraising and giving campaigns; and drive a university vehicle as needed.

Requirements: A bachelor's degree, relevant experience, and a valid Driver's License are required.

Experience in project management, student life, community outreach, and/or higher education is preferred. Equivalencies may be considered.

Time-Limited position with benefits. Starting salary is $47,500.00.

Normal work hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Must be flexible to meet the special scheduling needs of the university.
