Position Summary

A Life Time MindCoach is a mental wellness professional with a background in clinical services and performance coaching. Their scope of service is to assess and coach a Team Member on their specific goals with regard to optimizing their mental performance and enhancing their well-being. Goals may include professional development, career strategy, personal growth, stress management, mood balancing, relationship skills, and supporting a Healthy Way of Life vision. A MindCoach will educate the team member on a whole-body approach to achieving an optimal mental state, which may include integrating services with other Life Time resources. Due to their professional competency, a MindCoach can, if needed, complete assessments and refer the team member to appropriate outside health services to treat medical or mental health issues.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provides and review a Healthy Way of Life inventory (proprietary to Life Time)

  • Offers a whole-body personalized plan for the Team Member to consider following to optimize their mental performance

  • Gives the Team Member general education including access to supportive services such as, nutrition, training and other Life Time resources

  • Onboards the Team Member to mindfulness and meditation, including the use of MUSE, a technology Assisted Meditation Device

  • Sets coaching goals related to professional and personal optimization and offers emotional and behavioral support throughout the program to meet their goals and offers professional support around career planning, work relationships and work performance

  • Coaches the Team Member through Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Coaching to change or enhance thoughts and behaviors to meet specific desired goals and optimize mental functioning. This includes providing the Team Member with educational experiences, questions to provoke thought and clarity, as well as help with problem solving

Position Requirements

  • Graduate Degree in a mental health field (MFT/Psychology/Social Work/Counseling)

  • Must have a mental health license or master's level coaching certification

  • 3-5 years of therapy/coaching experience

  • Previous experience with performance coaching or executive coaching

  • Competent in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive coaching, Positive Psychology coaching, and Solution-Focused coaching

  • Competent in holistic mental wellness and a systemic approach to mental optimization

  • Works well independently with strong ethics and integrity

  • Flexible, adaptable and can work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Requirements

  • BCC Certification

  • Previous business experience

  • Knowledge of Life Time culture

Assist the leadership group in formulating and administering policies and procedures, and developing long range goals and objectives.
