Position at Structure Tone
The Life Sciences Sector Leader will play a pivotal role in providing Life Sciences growth leadership and support to the family of companies within STO Building Group. This leadership position requires a dynamic individual with a deep understanding of the life sciences industry, coupled with a proven track record in project management, client engagement, and team leadership.
Focus areas include:
Expand Life Sciences Sector development in all business units by:
Growing the opportunity pipeline, providing win strategies and value proposition development, winning new business, and supporting key personnel recruiting and identification.
Drive Business Unit engagement and accomplish Key Performance Indicators (KPI) regarding select account management, top opportunity new business capture and strategic outreach via select conferences, trade groups and industry events.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic plan for the Life Sciences sector in collaboration with Business Unit Leaders and functional department heads to align efforts with the overall company goals and achieve targeted growth objectives.
Identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential risks within the life sciences market sector.
Create and execute a sector specific growth strategy, including building new and maintaining existing key relationships with Life Sciences Clients, Architects and Engineers, Trade Contractors, Material and Equipment Suppliers.
Meet with senior management on a regular basis to provide updates on overall business growth progress and support needs. Provide KPI status to senior management at regular intervals.
Business Development:
Work with business units to focus on all types of life science facilities such as research and development, manufacturing, pilot and scale up, vivarium and administrative space, to maximize our wallet share with a client.
Grow the opportunity pipeline, provide win strategies and value proposition development in order to win new business.
Support the identification and recruiting of key personnel. Lead business development efforts to identify and secure new opportunities within the life sciences sector.
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders in the life sciences industry.
Operations & Project Management:
Oversee the successful execution of life sciences construction projects from inception to completion.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the highest quality standards.
Collaborate with project teams to optimize construction processes and implement best practices.
Team Leadership:
Build and lead through influence a high-performing team of professionals specialized in life sciences construction.
Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, promoting continuous learning and development.
Regulatory Compliance:
Stay abreast of industry regulations, codes, and standards related to life sciences construction.
Ensure all projects adhere to regulatory requirements and maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Background and Experience Required
College degree in construction management, engineering, science or /related field or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 10 years growth or sector development experience. Experience in client relations, business development and marketing strategies in Life Sciences construction, engineering, consulting, or project management. Individual must have a strong understanding of clients' vision, strategic plans and business challenges including life science sector trends and impacts to partners, government, and institutions. Given the diverse family of companies, strong communication and leadership skills are required. Experience with the Salesforce CRM platform is a plus.
