    We are looking to hire a Life Safety Systems Specialist

  • Level I, Level II, or Level III. Each level requires four weeks of on-call, annually.

    You must be able to complete and acquire NICET certification within your first year of employment. Please review the requirements and duties below for each level. Position Specific Information (if Applicable): Life Safety Systems Specialist I Responsible for the maintenance and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems and components.

    Assists with trouble shooting and corrective issues with systems.

    Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele.

    Responsibilities:
    --- Inspect, test, repair and maintain fire alarms, signal equipment, and sprinkler systems. --- Coordinate maintenance and inspection activities with other trades and school staff. --- Maintain necessary records and reports. --- Make recommendation on purchase of parts, materials and equipment. --- Work with electrical, maintenance contractors and Douglas County School District Construction departments. --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested. Minimum Starting Rate: (Based off a full-time FTE; if applicable, part time salaries will be prorated) $16.55 USD Hourly Maximum Starting Rate: (Based off a full-time FTE; if applicable, part time salaries will be prorated) $21.37 USD Hourly Life Safety Systems Specialist II Responsible for the maintenance and testing of fire alarm and sprinkler systems and components.

    Assists and can work alone on trouble shooting and corrective issues with systems.

    Develops and promotes good community relations among various community and school clientele. Minimum Experience:

    Two (2) to four (4) years job related experience preferred.

    Responsibilities:
    --- Inspect, test, repair and maintain fire alarms, signal equipment, and sprinkler systems. --- Ensure work orders are processed according to departmental guidelines. Manage work load and respond to changes in needs. --- Coordinate maintenance and inspection activities with other trades and school staff.

    Assist school administration with fire drills and use time to train staff. --- Maintain necessary records and reports per Douglas County School District and NFPA. --- Make recommendation on purchase of parts, materials and equipment. --- Work with electrical, maintenance contractors and Douglas County School District Construction departments. --- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.     Requirements:
    Constant lifting five (5) to twenty (20) pounds.

    Frequent lifting twenty (20) to fifty (50) pounds. Occasional lifting over fifty (50) pounds.

    Frequent climbing stairs and ladders.

    Responsibilities:

    Assist school administration with fire drills and use time to train staff. --- May instruct others in the maintenance and repair of fire alarm, signal, and fires sprinkler systems. --- Evaluate problems and situations; make decisions accordingly. Coordinate with DCSD Construction Department. --- Assist in facility walk-through with building and maintenance leads to identify ways to improve building, utilizing corrective and training opportunities. The Information Technology Department at Douglas County, CO is seeking a talented and dynamic Systems Administrator II to join our operations team. The Information Technology Systems Administrator II proactively manages the delivery of services via the Douglas County computing environments in a cost effective and reliable manner. This role will be primarily responsible for system architecture, tracking, and troubleshooting mobile devices, as well as administering and supporting the Intune MDM environment for all County mobile devices. Examples of Duties * Builds and manages deployment packages to desktops, servers, and mobile devices. * Assists with Desktop Administration for clients and servers. * Configure AD (Active Directory) services for individual and group permissions. * Recognizes ITIL Operations and has a good foundation and experience in an ITIL environment. (Certificate a plus) * Develops and implements intermediate scripts to automate common functions or system operations. * Assists in capacity planning and determines equipment specifications for purchase. * Monitors, tunes, diagnosis and resolves intermediate desktop operating system problems. * Develops and implements intermediate scripts to automate common functions or system operations. * Participates as part of an on-call hierarchy with other skilled support staff. * Track device inventory in the MDM cloud environment and perform audits of the Intune system. * Provide telephone, email, and on-site problem diagnosis and resolution. * Systems Administration of the MDM Intune cloud system. * Design, develop and enforce mobile device policies and procedures, in the MDM Intune environment. * Provide support for loading commercial off-the-shelf and in-housed developed mobile applications into the Intune application catalog. * Respond to requests, from internal and authorized external business units, in a timely manner. * Ability and desire to conduct research and resolve tickets, from the end user community, for mobile device issues and new products. * Procure, Provision and Deprovision Mobile devices. * Train service desk on tier 1 mobile device trouble shooting. * Manage Mobile device vendors and data/dial plans. Desired Experience: Experience with SCCM – Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 3 years' Experience with Intune MDM system 4 years, minimum, of relevant work experience with mobile devices OTHER DUTIES: Researches, evaluates and recommends new infrastructure components and operational related technologies that may be used by Douglas County, especially those that demonstrate the potential for economic savings, increased productivity, or improving service. Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a closely related field and training and/or certifications in principle technologies. Typically requires 3 years progressive experience in Systems Administration (installation and maintenance of MDM Systems systems). Sufficient experience, especially in managing a complex, distributed operational environment, may be substituted for degree or certification. Cost estimation, design, analysis, and budgeting are required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: * Knowledgeable in managing iOS and Android devices. * Experience with Windows Server 2012/2016, installation and maintenance. * Experience with VMware vSphere and Horizon. * Enterprise Cloud experience * Intermediate Microsoft SQL and PowerShell skills, required. * Strong interpersonal skills and problem-solving abilities. * Excellent teamwork, time-management, and organizational skills. * Ability to effectively read, analyze, interpret, and produce complex technical documents, diagrams and manuals are required. * Ability to effectively communicate status information, coordinate technical direction, and resolve technical and personnel conflicts is required. * The ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships is required as is the ability to build effective teams of individuals, managing the different interests of the team members. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, apply logic, draw valid conclusions, and devise complex technical solutions is required. * Must have the ability to interpret and/or create an extensive variety of technical instructions or diagrams. * Physical installation and management of technology components in a data center environment.
