The general pay scale for this open position is $40,000 - $80,000. Pay for a selected candidate will be determined within the pay scale based on one or more of the following factors: candidate's experience, skill set, education level, and/or location.

Position Summary

At First American, Case Designers partner with Financial Advisors to analyze cases and provide product illustrations related to Life Insurance, Long Term Care, and Disability Income Insurance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented and proactive, enjoys problem-solving, and has strong communication and math skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Maintain broad knowledge of life insurance, LTC & DI product landscape, carrier illustration software, marketing resources, and sales strategies.

  • Assist advisors in selecting carriers and products that best meet their client's needs.

  • Produce accurate product illustrations and competitively position and recommend these product recommendations to advisors.

  • Work closely with the sales team to support and develop winning sales ideas, strategies, and proposals for clients.

  • Quickly respond to inquiries relating to complex and technical questions while demonstrating an understanding of multiple product portfolios and cross-selling opportunities.

  • Recognize new opportunities to market and position products to improve service and sales.

  • Develop and enhance industry and product knowledge to effectively communicate and build credibility with advisors.

  • Develop a thorough understanding of all systems and resources to enhance the advisor experience.

  • Provide training, assistance, and promotion to advisors in utilizing technology platforms.

  • Assist with data analytics to support sales and marketing efforts.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree is required.

  • 3 years of relevant insurance experience, specifically life product design to meet the client's needs, is highly preferred.

  • Problem-solving, time management, attention to detail, and presentation skills are required.

  • Articulate and persuasive written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Successfully work collaboratively and independently.

  • Takes initiative to share creative ideas and is accountable for cases/projects.

  • Work with a sense of urgency in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office programs.

  • Motivated to learn and grow continually.
