Life Enrichment Specialist

What will you do in this role:

• Help facilitate socials, games, crafts, cooking, movies, outings, outside time, and many other activities

• Utilizes the standard assessment tool and care plan information in providing daily services to residents and maintains confidentiality of all resident information

• Document 1:1 contact with residents and attendance at all therapeutic and recreational programs

• Integrates residents with the outside community through internal activities and outings

• Attends all in-service education programs mandated by Balfour, and state and federal guidelines

• May be asked to accompany residents to outings and provides care on outings

• Manages LifeLoop by documenting all activities, 1:1s, taking and uploading photos, connecting residents and families

• Encourage/Invite residents to life enrichment programming

• Set up, break down, planning and support of Balfour events

Shift: FT 9a-5:30P Tues-Sat

You have:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to maintain a customer focus treating others with respect and integrity

• Ability to read, speak, and understand the English language

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with residents, families, staff, and the community

You might also have:

• A desire and talent to provide excellent customer service to a variety of people

• Previous event planning or recreation leader experience

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:

Ability to lift a minimum of 20 lbs. unassisted

The ability to push/pull up to 50 lbs. of resistance

Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time

Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed

May be exposed to unpleasant odors, contagious diseases and blood borne pathogens
