Summary:
As a Life Enrichment Coordinator, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging programs and activities for individuals in our community to enhance their physical, social, emotional, and intellectual well-being. You will work closely with participants, families, and staff to create a vibrant and fulfilling lifestyle.
Midland Cares Program of All-inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is a not-for-profit health care program that helps people at risk for needing nursing home care who meet a level of care requirement stay in their own homes and communities.
For Midland Care PACE participants, PACE means a team of experienced doctors, nurses and other health care professionals getting to know the participant and working with him or her to design a plan to aid in achieving health goals.
Employment Status: Full-time | Monday
Friday, 8am
5pm
Starting Pay: $20.00/hour (pay is based on experience and requirements of role)
Duties
Provides orientation and education to staff/volunteers.
Fulfills administrative requirements including timely completion of evaluations/reassessments, charting, and maintaining records.
Actively participates in the interdisciplinary team meetings, communicating participant changes to the team as treatment plans are developed.
Ensure activities are documented in the medical record.
Treats all people with respect; maintains confidentiality and strives toward service excellence.
Provides full range, direct supervision to other positions as listed elsewhere on this Job Description. Makes recommendations to higher level authority that carry particular weight with regard to employment actions including hiring, discipline, pay increases/decreases and termination. Provides guidance, direction, feedback, counsel and training to subordinate staff as needed. Completes annual reviews in a timely manner. Reviews and approves/denies requests for time off. Utilizes Midland Cares progressive discipline process as needed.

Qualifications
Required: One year experience working with an elderly population; interdisciplinary teamwork, ability to work effectively with culturally, economically, and educationally diverse populations, and form positive interpersonal relations in dealing with a wide range of staff and participants essential; Ability to assist with activities at home and in center. Good understanding of psychosocial problems of aging. Must possess a valid Kansas Drivers License, in force automobile liability insurance and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organizations insurability standard as defined by Midland policy.
Preferred: Activities Director Certification
