Life Development establishes a therapeutic relationship that emphasizes experiential learning, helps support client self-awareness and works side-by-side achieving tangible goals toward positive change. We help clients utilize life skills to break bad habits and behaviors, together tackling those challenging moments, thoughts, behaviors, and emotions that leave them feeling vulnerable. Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Life Development sessions include the following practices:
    • Listening
    • Processing questions and reframing events
    • Casting vision and setting goals
    • Practicing risk taking and trying new things
    • Encouraging relationships that facilitate lifestyle transitions
    • Modeling healthy relationships that establish appropriate boundaries
    • Inviting vulnerability to be known and share their true self

Support in attending new activities and programs such as 12-step, Celebrate Recovery, church, or group meetings

  • Help develop an active lifestyle (e.g. tennis, golf, rock climbing, basketball, fishing, yoga)
  • Academic aid helping to plan clients assignments throughout the semester
  • Collaborate with Clinical team to meet client goals
  • Input time in Intuit per the guidelines and deadlines
  • Attend scheduled trainings
  • Participate in marketing activities as assigned



  • Training across many diverse psychological issues including addictions (alcohol, drug, food, gambling, process), mood disorders, anxiety disorders, and phase of life challenges
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with a variety of treatment and other professionals, clients, and clients families
  • Graduate level training in the healthcare field or at least three years of experience working with people

This position is part-time and is ideal for someone currently in a part time role or looking to add an extra support role into their life

VIEW JOBS 9/20/2022 12:00:00 AM 2022-12-19T00:00 <p>The Supervisor for Child Life will provide daily operational management, staffing and scheduling, performance management and risk management for team members and staff in collaboration with the Director of Child Life. Attend department meetings, management meetings and hospital wide committees and task forces to establish goals and to discuss procedures, policies and problems.</p><p>You will participate in master scheduling patterns, develop standards of performance, ensure day-to-day staff coverage (including call-ins), schedule and patient care assignments, participating in the development of standards of performance. Conduct operational process evaluations, chart audits and other performance improvement measurements as assigned, mentor and role model appropriate clinical practice, customer service, teamwork and problem-solving behaviors. <br><br> Support, implement and maintain department policies and procedures related to operations, financial and personnel activities. Contribute to the department's financial objectives through the effective management of the department's utilization of resources.</p><p>You would also select, train and orient staff, developing standards of performance, evaluating employee performance and initiating or making recommendations for personnel actions. Serve as primary communication agent for assigned team. <br><br> Work with management to identify and implement solutions to team needs. Process PEAC reviews including, but not limited to, technical content, collection / inclusion of objective backup data and timely completion; meet quarterly with staff to review PEAC goals. Contribute objective evaluation data and develop educational recommendations for staff / team members in conjunction with clinical educator and director. <br><br> Fulfill clinical responsibilities by performing all duties of staff child life specialist, including, but not limited to, assessment, care planning, implementation of interventions, education and evaluation as it applies to child life care; and participating with clinical team in meeting daily patient care needs. Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.</p><p>WORK EXPERIENCE</p><p>At least 3 years Child Life clinical experience required</p><p>EDUCATION</p><p>Graduate or professional work or advanced degree; or equivalent experience required</p><p>LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS</p><p>Child Life Specialist Professional (or Music Therapist Certification, if applicable) REQUIRED</p><p>About us</p><p>Children's Health values the role each member of our team plays in helping us make life better for children.
