Responsible for working with management to identify and implement varied projects, programs and plans that support achievement of business unit and enterprise goals.

Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

  • Identifies potential issues, project charge, and scope.

  • Leads efforts to identify best practices. Identifies impacted parties, business partners, and resources required.

  • Develops and designs processes and systems that support business needs.

  • Designs methods for integrating function and process.

  • Conducts cost/benefit analyses.

  • Builds support for business change throughout the business unit.

  • Leads Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) adoption throughout the business unit

  • Works with Business Analysts on the team, providing direction and support regarding business value and priority

  • Requires a BA/BS degree in a related field; 5-8 years of process or project related experience that includes experience in successfully developing and managing projects with fairly significant operating budget and knowledge of process redesign; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • Life and Disability experience required

  • WGS and Compass system experience preferred

Responsible for managing staff and responsibilities for a combination of operations functions including customer service, membership, Life and Disability certificates, etc. Primary duties may include, but are not limited to: * Establishes policies, practices and efficient/effective procedures. * Develops specific work plans and implements to accomplish operational results. * Serves as mentor to lower leveled managers and builds leadership capabilities within their teams * Serves as subject matter expert for other areas of the company as well as within the department * Has accountability for deliverables of vendors, which includes managing the budget and contracts for the vendors * Manages multiple functions requiring unique sets of knowledge or has significant fiscal accountability over and above routine people/equipment costs * Develops and maintains staffing models for their teams * May be assigned to special project work consistent with the role and as dictated by the needs of the business * Audits to monitor efficiency and compliance with policies and prepares specialized reports * Hires, trains, coaches, counsels and evaluates performance of direct reports. * Requires BA/BS; 3 years previous management experience in addition to 3-5 years operations experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background. * Ideal candidate has experience in Life & Disability insurance as well as workforce management.
