LiDAR/Geomatics Technician - Entry Level
Merrick & Company is looking for Temporary LiDAR/Geomatics Technicians to support our projects at our Duluth, GA office. THe assignment is expected to last 3-6 months.
Merrick & Company is seeking a LiDAR/Geomatics Technician. Responsibilities will require that the candidate have excellent computer skills, be a quick learner, and be able to handle daily, repetitive, computer-based tasks.
Primary responsibilities of this individual(s) will be to:
Manually filter aerial LiDAR point cloud data.
Digitize breaklines from LiDAR and/or aerial imagery to enhance digital terrain models.
Compile planimetric features in a variety of LiDAR and/or GIS software packages.
The candidate must have strong dedication to quality and efficiency to succeed in this position.
The ideal candidate will have:
LiDAR, mapping, GIS, CAD, and/or survey experience is desirable
Previous internships a plus.
