LiDAR/Geomatics Technician - Entry Level

Merrick & Company is looking for Temporary LiDAR/Geomatics Technicians to support our projects at our Duluth, GA office. THe assignment is expected to last 3-6 months.

Introduction

Merrick & Company is seeking a LiDAR/Geomatics Technician. Responsibilities will require that the candidate have excellent computer skills, be a quick learner, and be able to handle daily, repetitive, computer-based tasks.

Job Description

Primary responsibilities of this individual(s) will be to:

  • Manually filter aerial LiDAR point cloud data.

  • Digitize breaklines from LiDAR and/or aerial imagery to enhance digital terrain models.

  • Compile planimetric features in a variety of LiDAR and/or GIS software packages.

  • The candidate must have strong dedication to quality and efficiency to succeed in this position.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • LiDAR, mapping, GIS, CAD, and/or survey experience is desirable

  • Previous internships a plus.

  • Local candidates only!

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as, but not limited to, computers, phones, copiers, scanners and plotters.
