Job Overview

Job Summary:

Under the direct care supervision of a Registered Nurse or physician, the Regional Float LVN provides nursing care within licensed scope of practice.

As a regional float, assignment locations will vary depending on business need and may be within either Los Angeles or Orange County. Assignments will vary in length and can range from a few weeks to a few months depending on the reason for supplemental coverage.

Model compassion and respect and will be proactive in managing patient's expectations. Ability to read, write and speak in a clear and professional manner. Knowledge and Understanding of Medical Terminology.

Excellent customer service skills. Excellent follow through skills and attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, drive change efforts and adapt to change.

Ability to be punctual and maintain a satisfactory attendance record. Ability to travel to and work at various Ambulatory Clinics as assigned by Supervisor for coverage (Los Angeles and Orange County). Ability to work flexible days and hours (Including weekends and evenings). Ability to work overtime in cases of emergency. Thorough, detail oriented, able to follow through and work semi-independent.

Is able to anticipate problems, attempting to resolve them before seeking supervisory assistance. Knowledge of DHCS, OSHA and safety regulations. Knowledge of HIPAA Guidelines including the Protected Health Information (PHI) privacy requirements

Pay Range: $30.14 - $37.68 hourly

Physical Requirements:

Walking, talking, standing, sitting, bending, stooping, and lifting up to 10 #'s. Talking and hearing are essential to effectively communicate with patients, clients, and staff.

Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance:

Exposure to medical clinic setting. Low risk contamination when adhering to Universal Precautions. May be required to drive a car to attend meetings and other related functions.

Education and Experience:

Graduation from an Accredited LVN School. Current LVN license issued by the State of California Vocational Nursing and Psychiatric Technicians.

Current Valid BLS Certification A minimum of 1-year Healthcare experience. Ambulatory care experience within the last 6 months, preferred. 2-3 years' experience in Family Practice, Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Woman's Health and Urgent Care, Preferred. Bilingual: (English/Spanish) preferred.
