Phoenix House Venice Beach provides

residential and outpatient services for adult men who struggle with alcohol,

marijuana, and other substance use disorders. Our evidence-based treatment

approach delivers a superior level of care focusing on strength to meet each

persons unique needs.

Group therapy, individual counseling, and a

variety of other wellness focused services are offered to those who are

striving to overcome addiction, reunite with family, and live a life free from

addiction. A wide range of group sessions are offered that address recovery

dynamics, relapse prevention, life skills, trauma, and anger management.

At Phoenix house, we empower people to

experience their personal strengths and help them discover new ways to manage

the mental, physical, and emotional aspects of addiction so they can live a

better life.

(Full-Time) Reporting to the Nursing

Supervisor, the LVN is responsible for assessing and monitoring the clients

on-going addiction, recovery, and medical needs. The position collaborates with

the interdisciplinary team members to coordinate addiction and recovery

treatment with medical treatments.

REQUIREMENTS:

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

  • Licensed

Vocational Nurse (LVN) registered with the CA BBS.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Two (2)

years experience; preferably in substance abuse treatment and/or with

adolescents, preferred.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Maintain

current licensure/certification including CPR, First Aid, and Medication

Management.

  • Maintain

professional boundaries with staff and clients.

  • Provide

general nursing care services and administers medications.

  • Use

professional nursing processes, including assessment, planning, implementation,

and evaluation, while carrying out nursing responsibilities.

  • Assess the health care needs of clients through a variety

of routine interdisciplinary assessments, and develops, implements, and

evaluates individualized nursing and health care plans accordingly.

  • Respond to

emergency health care needs of the clients.

  • Perform

health screenings of clients.

  • Collect and

record data specific to the health status of clients.

  • Collaborate

to develop nursing guidelines/protocols for medical and healthcare needs.

  • Monitor and

clinically directs special programs such as infection control and medication

management.

  • Participates

in interdisciplinary planning meetings and recommends changes in nursing and

healthcare programs and/or in the care of clients.

  • Must maintain

a valid CA Drivers License, have proof of automobile insurance and maintain a

safe driving record based on Phoenix House policy.

This role creates the Client experience both in and outside the store. The Sales Associate achieves the sales goal through KPI focus, Client development, drives conversion through salesmanship, Client outreach, and Client Book management.
