Licensed Vocational Nurse (Lvn) - Contract

• Associate degree or higher
• Behavioral Health (1+ years)

Overview:

As an Agency Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide advanced nursing care to individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues at our client's maximum-security unit. Your responsibilities include performing nursing tasks, instructing staff, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform advanced vocational nursing work.
• Provide care, treatment, and general welfare of individuals with complex medical, mental health, and/or behavioral health issues.
• Collect specimens for lab work and perform health screenings.
• Instruct staff on providing service and care supporting individual medical needs.
• Perform technical nursing procedures according to regulations.
• Provide on-the-job training to new LVNs and direct care staff.
• Monitor and assign work to psychiatric nursing assistants.
• Evaluate nursing intervention outcomes and provide input to the healthcare team.
• Assist with implementation of protocols, procedures, and programs to improve health and safety.

Schedule and Shift Details:

• Shifts are from 3:00 p.m.- 11:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.- 7:00 a.m.

• Must have a valid photo ID and current American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Must have negative PPD results within the last 12 months.
• COVID-19 testing with negative result required (test provided)
• COVID-19 Vaccination card, if applicable
• Must be able to pass a urine drug screen and background check successfully.
• Must be able to successfully pass an FBI fingerprint background check (client provides)
