Licensed Vocational Nurse (Lvn)

Position/Job Title: LVN Job Number: 100200104 Employment Type: Contract Location: Palestine, TX 75801 Industry: Healthcare Salary: $43.00 per hour Job Description: We are searching for a Texas-licensed Vocational Nurse for a significant role in correctional healthcare. The ideal candidate will be an LVN with active certification/license and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association. We value experience in Clinical Documentation, Med-Surg, or LTAC, with a minimum of one year in these areas. While not mandatory, preference is given to candidates with IV Therapy Certification and up-to-date vaccinations, including COVID-19, Varicella, MMR, T-Dap, TB, and HepB, as well as those who have a recent physical exam. What We Offer: - Full-time positions with day and night shifts on a 4:3 rotating schedule.

• A role that is central to inmate care and safety, involving a broad range of nursing services. Your Responsibilities: - Providing treatments, diagnostic, and preventive procedures.

• Interpreting physician orders and administering prescribed medication.

• Assisting physicians during sick calls, managing surgical dressings and bandages, and offering emergency first aid care.

• Maintaining accurate medical records and educating inmates on health matters.

• Observing and reporting on inmates' conditions and consulting with supervisors on challenging cases. Qualifications:

• Active LVN license in Texas and BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

• 1 year experience in Clinical Documentation, Med-Surg, or LTAC.

• IV Therapy Certification (preferred).

• Up-to-date vaccinations and a current physical examination (preferred).
