The LVN will support the CHS COVID-19 Contact Tracing efforts for Washington Headquarters Services (WHS). Will provide COVID-19 patients with the utmost care and attention. All patients shall be assured of their privacy and personal dignity.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Will contact individuals identified as having been in recent contact with the COVID-19 identified individual from previous contact tracing shall be performed within one calendar day of identification;
Will follow-up with COVID-19 patients on a daily basis until they return to work;
Will interview and report complete and reliable tracing data and a daily basis;
Report daily activity to the Project Manager.

Minimum Qualifications:(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
Must have, at a minimum, a current Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) certificate from an accredited national, state or military trained equivalent school.
Shall have and maintain an active,valid,current, unrestricted license (with no limitations, stipulations or pending adverse actions) to practice nursing as a Licensed Vocational Nurse / Licensed Practical Nurse (LVN/LPN) in a US jurisdiction.
Must possess and maintain a current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
Shall have provided LVN/LPN services for at least 12 months within the past 24 months.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of standard nursing care principles, procedures, and practices.
Knowledge of emergency medical reporting procedures
Knowledge and understanding of the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) COVID-19 guidelines;
Knowledge and understanding of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA)
Knowledge and understanding of the Privacy Act of 1974
Knowledge of Department of Defense (DOD) organizational structures, processes, policies, and procedures.

The employee will normally work in a temperature-controlled office environment, with frequent exposure to electronic office equipment.
During visits to areas of operations, may be exposed to extreme cold or hot weather conditions. Is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and loud noise.
