Description & Details:

Through campus collaboration, this position coordinates all phases of nutrition care including campus outreach. Provide education to NDSU students through individual counseling, nutrition assessment, care planning, and monitoring. Perform duties in accordance with the University, Division of Student Affairs and Institutional Equity Enrollment Management, AAAHC standards, the Athletic Department, Summit League, MVFC, Big XII and NCAA policies and procedures and all other regulatory standards.

  • Evaluate and treat students/patients, including management and education of acute and chronic health conditions and overall well-being.

  • This is a shared position between Athletics and Student Health Service who will serve the student campus community at large.

  • Nutrition education and outreach for NDSU campus community.

  • Maintain professional licensure and an appropriate level of knowledge, skills, and judgment to provide competent services based on the needs of the population.

Work Schedule:

  • 12-month, full time benefitted position

  • Work hours during the academic year: Monday- Friday from 8am

  • 5pm
  • Work hours during the summer and recognized breaks: Monday
  • Friday from 7:30am

  • 4pm

  • Working hours may fluctuate depending on campus needs

Advertised Salary:

Commensurate with experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited Dietetics program

  • Current or eligible license with North Dakota Board of Dietetic Practice (NDBODP)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Minnesota Board of Dietetic Practice licensure

  • Current BLS licensure

  • Previous work experience in higher education and/or ambulatory care setting

  • Previous work experience in higher education with athletes

  • Experience with documentation in an electronic health record

  • Excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Ability to assess and implement strategies to meet campus needs
