Teacher Scale Job Summary: Seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) instructor. This position involves coordinating and instructing LPN program students in skills and lab sessions and on clinical rotations along with serving as an assistant clinical instructor for Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students during clinical rotations.

In addition this position also involves managing the School Nurse Clinic during non-clinical hours. Essential Duties: Licensed Practical Nurse Skills/Lab/Instructor:

Develop and implement the LPN program's skills and lab curriculum in accordance with state guidelines and educational standards. Coordinate scheduling and logistics for skills and lab sessions, ensuring a smooth learning experience for students. Instruct and demonstrate nursing skills to LPN students, providing guidance and feedback to enhance their learning.

Assess student competencies and progress, and maintain accurate records of student performance. Promote evidence-based practice and maintain current knowledge of nursing curriculum, policies and requirements.

Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Assistant Clinical Instructor:

Assist CNA Instructor and mentor CNA students during their clinical rotations, adhering to clinical policies and safety protocols. Evaluate CNA students' clinical skills and document their performance and progress. Collaborate with healthcare facilities and staff to ensure a positive and educational clinical experience for students.

School Nurse Clinic Manager: Manage the school nurse clinic during non-clinical hours, providing nursing care, first aid, and health services to students and staff. Maintain accurate health records, immunization records, and medication administration logs in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Collaborate with school administrators, parents, and healthcare providers to promote student health and wellness initiatives. Minimum Education and Education Qualifications A valid Virginia teaching license in the area of teaching responsibility is required. Current unencumbered RN license in the state of Virginia.

Minimum two years of clinical nursing experience, with experience in teaching, school nursing or instructional roles preferred. Strong clinical skills and proficiency in nursing procedures, including teaching and demonstrating skills to students. Ability to work 10-hour shifts in a clinical setting if required.

Must be able to provide satisfactory references and have completed appropriate testing requirements. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the School Board or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable.
