Qualifications

• Current Licensure: NYS LPN is necessary.

• Three years' experience as an LPN, preferably in an ambulatory care setting.

Responsibilities

Clinic Duties: Support primary care providers and other nurses by working collaboratively in rooming patients, obtaining patient histories, collecting vital signs, coordinating care (phone calls, appointment changes, referral assistance etc.), administering medications & injections with proper orders, documenting clinical interactions in patient chart (EMR), assisting providers with women's health visits or minor surgical procedures.

Laboratory Duties: phlebotomy, perform CLIA waived laboratory testing, perform control testing for CLIA waived tests, tracking laboratory inventory, entering lab results in EMR, stocking lab supplies, handling of specimens (including use of centrifuge), liaison to reference laboratory to assure timeliness of service and results.
