Responsibilities: This is a professional nursing position which requires thorough knowledge of commonly used psychotropic and health maintenance medications, an understanding of the special medical needs of adults with severe and persistent mental illness, substance abuse conditions or cognitive disabilities who may have co-occurring substance use disorders, physical disabilities, debilitating medical conditions, developmental disabilities, or infectious diseases.
Qualifications:
Delaware Licensed Practical Nurse in good standing or Compact License required.
Knowledge of nursing practice and other regulations pertaining to the administration and storage of medications.
Ability to make independent judgments in emergencies.
Must have the ability to function independently and as part of a team in carrying out the treatment plans and physicians orders in community settings
Previous experience working with persons who struggle with intellectual, developmental, or behavioral health challenges preferred
Ability to pass a background check and drug test
Three year Motor Vehicle Record and valid Delaware drivers license
CPR and First Aid Certified
Obtains all required training, skills, and certifications required by the organization, accreditors, regulators, and contractors
