Licensed Practical Nurse/ Registered Nurse

Psychiatric treatment facility near Charleston and Jones is looking for additional license practical nurses and registered nurses who are familiar with medication management and assessments of adolescents with various health concerns as well as promoting good health practices. What we look for most in our nurse candidates is the ability, willingness, and education to conduct physical assessments and carry out orders from on call providers with exceptional customer service.

Extensive clinical experience with adolescents and psychiatrics is vital. As a Licensed Practical Nurse and Registered Nurse with our Patient's needs, you'll have to work closely with other healthcare professionals, so you should have a team spirit and a positive attitude. Patience, problem-solving skills, and communication are important assets to our management.

Job Duties: Must be able to perform head-to-toe assessments, deliver medications per orders, restraint management, de-escalation techniques, handle verbal, written, and electronic orders from the Providers, work 12-hour shifts, be able to communicate effectively with on-call Provider, be able to handle emergent situations and react appropriately under stress. Responsibilities Examine patients and their medical records Diagnose health conditions and illnesses Propose treatments for chronic and infectious diseases Prescribe medications Maintain accurate records and schedules Inform patients about their health conditions and prescribed medications Oversee patients' overall health Promote good health practices Advance professional knowledge and conduct research Skills 2 years experience as a Licensed Nurse Practitioner/ Registered Nurse in a hospital, ER, or other settings Knowledge of health and patient care regulations Excellent communication skills Strong ethics Team spirit with a positive attitude Patience and cool-headedness Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience Qualifications Valid, Unrestricted LPN/RN license Valid CPR Certification Current TB results Certified in Handle With Care
