As a LPN a typical day might include:

Minimum Requirements

To be the ideal LPN expert for this role:

  • Have a current LPN license, valid in the state you are applying in.

  • Hours of Operation/Shifts:

  • Full Time Hours:

  • 6:00PM to 6:00AM

  • 3 Days Per Week

  • Must be Open to Working Every Other Weekend

  • Part Time Hours:

  • 6:00PM to 6:00AM

  • 2 Days Per Week

  • Must be Open to Working Every Other Weekend

  • 1+ years progressive experience working as an LPN.

  • Have strong clinical, assessment and documentation skills.

  • Must love being an LPN and helping people.

SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Centralized Nurse Triage Director, responsible for refilling prescriptions, ordering lab testing, scheduling appointments and following up with patients by phone. Work requires the application of a variety of procedures, policies, and/or precedents relating to both the standards and procedures of the nursing profession and those established by DuPage Medical Group. Provides advice and follow-up education consistent with patient's age and cultural needs. Responds to patient inquiries, prioritizing responses and routing urgent situations to a physician, PA or NP (hereafter Provider). Maintains accurate and appropriate documentation and follows patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA and DMG policies and procedures. Performs to the level of a licensed registered nurse as dictated by the Illinois Nurse Practice Act and DuPage Medical Group. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Patient Documentation: Maintains accurate and detailed patient records and pertinent information; documents patient education provided. Enters all pertinent written communications with the patient into the Medical Record. * Other Duties as Assigned: Utilizes current nursing practices to provide patient care while focusing on the needs of the patient and exemplifying service excellence, care, concern, respect and cooperation. As a member of a health care team, functions in the role of patient advocate by being in the position of initial contact for patient-related issues. Meets set hourly productivity numbers. Additional duties as assigned. REFILL TRIAGE NURSE: * Primary function is refilling prescriptions per DMG policy. A strong primary care nursing background and working knowledge of EMR required. For training: M-F 8am-5pm (1 week). Hours are flexible and may vary to meet the needs of the department. After initial training, when set productivity numbers are met, work will be done remotely.
