Pediatric Day Healthcare Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Pediatria Healthcare is hiring compassionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide skilled nursing care to medically complex patients in our pediatric day healthcare center. LPN Position Details:

  • Provide skilled nursing care to children ages birth to 8 years old in a developmentally appropriate center-based setting

  • Follow physician orders for plan of care and provide documentation of care delivered

  • Administration of prescribed medication, treatments, and therapies

  • Participate as a vital member of our multidisciplinary team

Qualifications for LPN Position:

  • Licensed in PA without restrictions ; New graduates accepted

  • Current Healthcare Provider CPR certification

UPMC Hamot is currently hiring a Full-Time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to support the High Level Respiratory Intermediate Care Unit (4 MRIU) located at Hamot Medical Center in Erie, PA. LPNs provide overall quality nursing care administered to assigned patients on the designated shift. Under the direction of a Professional Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse with Meds and IV's is expected to use initiative, basic problem solving skills and exercise some judgment in the practice of nursing to administer medication and peripheral IV's as appropriate. Qualifications * Completion of approved Practical Nursing program or equivalent New graduate or current experience as LPN with Meds/IVs in a healthcare setting * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Basic computer knowledge and skills * This position typically reports to the Nursing Director Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: Current licensure in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Certified in medication administration and intravenous administration CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire Must complete licensure examination within FOUR MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.� Though temporary permits are valid for one year from the date of graduation, not one year from issue of permit (or until the results of the examination are known at which time it becomes null and void), UPMC requires that GNs take the licensure examination within 4 months of their start date or they will be terminated or demoted from the GN position, at the discretion of the BU.
