The LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines. LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse Responsibilities:
  • This LPN position is a staff position that has direct care responsibilities as well as supervisor responsibility for nursing assistants.

  • Administer medications and treatments timely and according to policy

  • Receive, transcribe, and carry out physician orders

  • Follows established procedure for charting and reporting all reports of incident/accidents (patients & employees)

  • Identifies and reports changes in condition to supervisor, physician and family

Medcor is looking to hire an LPN or RN Full-Time to be the Case Manager in an employer-based clinic setting in Bannockburn, IL., with an option to work remotely from a home office. The hours for this position are Monday - Friday, from 8:00am - 5:00pm (No evenings, weekends or on-call). The Case Manager position will provide telephonic support to several client facilities with a focus on workers compensation and disability/accommodation nurse case management. This position seeks highly motivated, qualified, and skilled leaders from the medical industry to collaborate with medical providers and clients representatives from Human Resources and/or Health, Safety, and Environment Departments for injury/illness and job accommodation issues in order to facilitate resolution for early return to work. Employment with Medcor at this site will offer stability and set schedules in a comfortable and friendly environment. Successful candidates for this position should be patient-focused, independent, and reliable. The Case Manager position for Medcor will be an administrative role working with Medcor occupational health clinics at client sites and may support sites with a clinic as requested. The positions responsibilities also include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor, on-site medical providers, nursing staff, medical assistants, administrative staff, and with key contacts within the clients corporate structure. The day-to-day role of the Case Manager includes ongoing workers compensation case management, Return to Work (RTW) program facilitation, and treatment plan monitoring. This position requires no on-call hours; however, with advanced notice, flexibility for additional hours is preferred, as requested by the client. A typical day in the life of a Case Manager: * Facilitation of the clients (RTW) program involving ongoing evaluation of treatment and the RTW * Ensure that all injured and ill parties are on an aggressive treatment plan * Enter work related claims in the clients reporting system * Support and manage local and corporate client relationships including: * Develop a professional and personal relationship that engenders trust and respect * Promote Medcor, Inc.s ethics and values * Understand the organizational and political environment of the clinics * Understand contractual obligations & history of client relationship * Develop relationships with client management team * Participate in departmental staff meetings and operations management team meetings as needed or as requested You Must * Have graduated from an accredited Registered Nursing (RN) or Licensed Vocational/Licensed Practical Nursing (LVN/LPN) program * Have a minimum of two years clinical experience * Have a valid licensure for the position in which you are applying and current CPR/BLS certification * Be prompt and have predictable attendance * Have exceptional attitude, communication, and customer services skills. * Have strong computer and other technology skills (navigate cell phones, texting, fax machines, etc), as well as familiarity with EMR software * Have a desire to set and meet challenging objectives and seek out process innovation * Possess excellent verbal / written communication skills * Have a positive and outgoing personality * Be willing to go above and beyond just because thats who you are * Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible * Be able to have fun Benefits We dont just advocate for our clients and our patients; we also advocate for ourselves.
