Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in Metairie, Louisiana We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate PRN Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our hospice care team. In this role, you will provide skilled nursing care and support to patients and their families in their homes or facilities.

You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to deliver personalized care and ensure the comfort and dignity of patients during their end-of-life journey. Salary: $28.00-$30.00 per hour Schedule: PRN visits and weekend call availability required 1:1 nurse-to-patient ratios where you impact outcomes Flexible assignments, autonomy and work-life balance Online training, growth and ability to earn CEUs Tuition discounts through Rasmussen University As a Hospice Licensed Practical Nurse, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do: Provide home-based care to patients with a prognosis of six months or less to live, focused on quality of life, under the supervision of an RN Work as part of an interdisciplinary team comprised of a physician, RN, CNA, social worker, chaplain and volunteers to carry out the patient’s plan of care Perform nursing services which are planned, delegated, and supervised by the registered nurse Assess and provide patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and plan of care Take a holistic approach to care that engages the patient’s mind, body, spirit and family A few must-haves for Hospice Licensed Practical Nurses:

Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program and active LPN license in Louisiana Minimum of 1 year of hospice LPN experience CPR certification Valid Louisiana driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation Knowledge of state and federal home health and hospice regulations Clinical proficiency in nursing, strong communication skills and compassion Why Work for Interim HealthCare?
