Qualifications for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

  • Current LPN license in good standing in NY

  • Current CPR certification

  • Minimum one year clinical experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Ventilator experience a plus or willingness to learn about ventilators (peds or adults)

Responsibilities for Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

  • Assessments

  • Training and education of family members

  • Medication administration of prescribed treatments and therapies

  • Communication with other members of the patients' multidisciplinary team

  • Supply management

  • Emergency management

You will: * Participate in an individualized training/orientation program geared to providing nursing care in ambulatory setting. * Join MSKCC team at our Outpatient Center in Uniondale, Long Island,N. Y. * Work collaboratively with other members of the radiology team. * Manage a caseload of patients undergoing radiological examinations. * Provide clinical support to staff members, and be involved in obtaining IV access and, administration of radiologic contrast agents. * Perform patient assessment, offer patient and family education and symptom management. * Act as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide continuity of care throughout various stages of treatment and follow-up. * Participate in an individualized training/orientation program geared to providing nursing care in ambulatory setting.
