Responsibilities

Responsibilities for Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Travel to sites to assist with transitions and fill-in shifts as needed

• Work under the mentorship of a Senior Vice President and Director of Jail Operations

• Understand the principles and concepts of medical quality assurance and utilization review

• Monitor and report on the quality of all facets of the medical care provided to patients

• Gather clinical information to assess and expedite care needs

• Conduct detailed clinical chart assessments including reviewing requests from providers regarding medical necessity of requested services for patients

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and decision-making skills are essential

Qualifications

Qualifications for Travel Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Hold and maintain a current, unrestricted Licensed Practical Nurse license

• Valid CPR certification

• Ability/willingness to seek licensure in other states

• Quality assurance and utilization management experience preferred

• Ability to travel (approximately 75%) to sites
