ED LPNPosition Summary The ED LPN provides nursing care for emergency and trauma patients.

The ED plays a significant role in the hospitals Stroke, AMI and Trauma Programs.

There is also a specialized area for adult and pediatric mental health evaluations.

The ED LPN works under the supervision of an RN to provide direct patient care. The ED LPN participates, with the RN in planning care for a broad spectrum of patients.

This position is specifically for nursing students that would like to gain clinical, hands-on experience while attending nursing school.

EDLPN Position Requirements Licensed and currently registered to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Must hold a license in the state ofpermanent residency American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Currently enrolled in a nursing program.

EDLPN Work Schedule May be assigned to day, evening, or night shifts or a combination per departmental policy. Scheduled off at least three holidays per year. Required to work weekends per unit need.

Expected to work overtime on occasion.
