CDR Maguire Inc., a national engineering, health & medical and emergency management firm, is seeking individuals who are interested in working as a Clinical Specialist within the state of Florida in the West Palm Beach area. This position is responsible for medical care of patients at COVID testing site. Potentially Including but not limited to:

  • Obtain specimens from patients through various specimen collection methods, including but not limited to, nasal, nasopharyngeal, and oral swabbing
  • Recording a patient's medical information accurately
  • Prepare test collection materials and administer COVID-19 test
  • Back-up relief for all staff positions as needed
  • Must have the ability to lift 20lbs. and stand for long periods of time
  • Adhere to all company policies and rules
  • Perform specific tasks as requested by the incident commander or supervisor
  • Provide emotional and psychological support when needed
  • Communicate with patient's family or friends to provide advice, comfort and instructions
  • Take and record measurements of blood pressure, temperature, heart rate etc. as needed
  • Patient assessment and monitoring, vital signs
  • Work directly with point of care laboratory equipment including operation, calibration and maintenance

Education may be any of the following:

  • Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) /Certification in the State of Florida


  • Minimum ASN and/or BSN preferred
  • Proven experience as LPN for at least 3-5 years
  • Charge nursing experience preferred
  • Hold a current Florida LPN License in good standing
  • Ability to undertake a variety of diverse care tasks and work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Working knowledge of health, safety and current COVID infection control standards and procedures and ability to comply
  • Understanding of confidentiality obligations and best practices
  • Excellent knowledge of medical terminology
  • Above average physical condition and stamina
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassionate and able to handle stress
  • Excellent observation skills with high attention to detail
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift and carry equipment up to 30 pounds
  • Must submit to and pass a drug screen, background check
  • Ability to provide Form I-9 documents that shows your identity and eligibility to work in the United States
  • Other duties which may arise that commensurate with the title and position
