DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Provide patient care by giving clear direction to the patient, address patient concerns about the exam. Document appropriately in patient chart
2.Ensure completion of all forms vital to the revenue cycle (i.e. verification/clarification of orders, waivers for non- covered services, encounter form)
3.Provide instructions to patient under direction of the provider(s).
4.Ensure complete and accurate information in patient chart.
5.Maintain adequate level of supplies in exam rooms and work station.
6.Clean and disinfect exam rooms.
7.Perform cleaning, maintenance, and/or sterilization of equipment and instruments. Report malfunction of equipment to appropriate supervisor.
8.OSHA, CLIA and HIPAA compliance.
9.Assist with completion of patient requests.
Completion of referral process/outpatient test scheduling, and precertification.
Timely and accurate filing/distribution of all patient information.
Interact with Central Billing Office as needed to resolve patient issues.
EDUCATION:
Minimum: Graduate of accredited nursing program.
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:
6 months to 1-year experience preferred.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Current state LPN license.
Direct communication with a patient in a language other than English requires the associate to complete an assessment to become Qualified Bilingual Staff (QBS). The associate is required to complete CBLs and future assessments to maintain QBS status.
