Description
This position is responsible for assisting students in self-sufficiency, communication, interpersonal, social, academic, and mobility skills necessary for physical and emotional well-being in the educational setting.
Licensed Practice Nurses are hired on an as-needed basis. They may be assigned to a classroom, a center, or to work with an individual student. They may be assigned to one location or may be assigned to multiple locations and may include travel. If the student to which the employee is assigned no longer attends school for any reason, the position may be terminated.
Qualifications
Current Pennsylvania license as a Licensed Practical Nurse, required
Current First Aid/CPR certification, required
Crisis Prevention Intervention certification, preferred (may be required dependent upon student needs)
Terms of Employment
Full-time, 188 days (regular school day and school year)
Salary
Nurse - LPN pay scale (min. $21.54/hour) plus benefits*

Full-time employees who are scheduled for 188 days/year receive 10 sick days and 3 personal days. If hired after the start of any year, the leave is prorated.
