Position Details:

• Location: Sun City, AZ

• Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week, 40 hours per week

• Hourly Pay Range: $30 - $34 (based on experience and qualifications)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide general nursing care, administer prescribed medications, and perform IV catheter placement and monitoring.

• Conduct nursing assessments, vital signs, and provide age-specific education to patients.

• Monitor patients during infusions, respond to emergencies, and document interventions.

• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in the EMR.

• Follow OSHA and HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient safety and confidentiality.

• Support colleagues and participate in all aspects of patient care.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Proficient in intravenous catheter placement and monitoring

• Strong assessment and monitoring skills for medication reactions

• Skilled in drawing labs using aseptic techniques

• Competent in performing subcutaneous injections and monitoring site reactions

• Knowledge of infection control precautions and sterile techniques

• Ability to provide age-appropriate education to diverse patient populations

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

• Effective interpersonal and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in EMR systems

Essential Functions:

• Greet patients and ensure timely and safe care

• Administer prescribed medications according to drug protocol and within the scope of practice

• Perform vital signs and nursing assessments for each patient

• Provide patient education and answer questions about treatments

• Review and educate patients on biologic questions and medication policies

• Follow the Five Rights of medication administration

• Observe, record, and report patients' conditions and reactions

• Maintain accurate documentation in the patient's EMR

• Monitor patients closely and prioritize care based on complexity

• Respond confidently to emergencies and follow ordered interventions

• Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines

• Support colleagues with patient care and other duties as assigned
