Licensed Practical Nurse Geriatrics

We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with experience in geriatrics to join our team. As an LPN specializing in geriatrics at NCG Associates, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to elderly patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to geriatric patients in a compassionate and empathetic manner
• Assist with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
• Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the registered nurse or physician
• Assist with the development and implementation of patient care plans
• Document patient information accurately and timely
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive and personalized care
• Provide emotional support and companionship to elderly patients
• Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety guidelines

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted LPN license in the state of practice
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in geriatric nursing
• Strong knowledge of geriatric nursing principles and practices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards elderly patients
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Physical stamina and ability to lift and transfer patients
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)

Pay Rate: $1,200 - $1,280weekly depending on your experience

Shift and Time: 1845-0715

Schedule Details: Full Time

Weekend Rotation: As scheduled

Floating Requirements: Must float to similar units

Experience Required: 12 months experience in last 18 months

Experience Preferred: PCCCharting

License Required: MO State License

Certificates Required: BLS
